Your page TITLE does make a difference

I was asked to give more impact to the Title of Red Anywhere.

The site was recently relaunched following a complete rewrite by the web development team at Fresh Egg. You may have seen a blog about the new Red Anywhere site on the Fresh Egg blog written by Adam Stafford.

Following his blog the Red Anywhere site has rocketed up the rankings and now holds an impressive position on page two of Google for one its principal KeyPhrases. The nice aspect is, this can be bettered by applying some focus to the page title and the META description.

Now I am not saying this will be a magic wand effect and the page will hit the top 10 for its main term, but it will not do any harm and it will of course offer a stronger first impression to those looking for this type of service in Google.

You will clearly see the difference in the two page titles:

Previous Title: red: relax, eat, drink…… anywhere
New Title: Catering Company, Specialist Caterers for Weddings, Events & Parties

Here’s a quick benchmark, the site is at #14 for the term “Catering Company“, let’s see where it is after the content has been reindexed.
